Walls of York
- STRATEGY GAME: Players use plastic wall pieces to construct a defensive barrier around the buildings on their city map. Each turn, roll the Building die to learn what types of walls to use. Enclose your city, containing the required buildings from the King’s Decree.
- COMPETE OVER TWO AGES: At the end of the first Age, Vikings raid the city and destroy everyone’s walls. At the end of the second Age, players will total their score and see who built the best defensive structures. The player with the most coins at the end of the second Age is declared the winner.
- COUNTLESS REPLAY OPPORTUNITIES: With four tiles per map and two sides per tile, there’s a nearly limitless amount of ways the city can be laid out, meaning no two games are ever the same.
- EASY TO LEARN: Walls of York is a family game with simple rules that offers many building strategies to be balanced in each game to reach the victory.
- NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This family and adult board game can be played with 2 to 4 players ages 14 and up. The average playtime is 30 minutes.
The city of York is being built. Many buildings have already been built, but without a protective outer wall to defend against the Viking raids, the city is bound for failure. The King has called together his best architects to design defensive walls for the city, but only one's design will be used. That architect will be hailed as the greatest architect in all the land. In walls of York, players must use the plastic wall pieces to construct a defensive barrier around the buildings on their city map. Each turn, a player will roll The building die, which will dictate what types of walls are to be used. Players must enclose their city, containing the required buildings from the King's decree. But players must beware, for the Vikings will come and lay waste at the end of the first age, forcing player to build anew in the second age. The player with the most coins at the end of the second age is declared the winner.
